I'm about 20 miles from Haworth - was out that night and didn't see anything, but I did notice my mobile was acting strange around 21:15. Thought it was just dodgy signal.

Also: photograph the marks immediately next time it happens. Detailed, clear photos with timestamp. That documentation is your evidence if you need it later.

The Peak District has had ABC reports since the 1970s at least. I found newspaper clippings at my local library dating back to 1982.
This is a genuinely good question and it's rarely asked seriously. Most paranormal research just assumes seasonal correlations are meaningful without actually testing them. My guess?
Ignore the skeptic above. ABCs are real and well documented. Are they though? Where's the skeleton? Where's the roadkill? Where's the DNA evidence?

Keep a sleep journal from now on. What you ate before bed, what time you slept, any dreams you remember, mood, anything unusual in the days beforehand.

This is exactly the kind of report we need more of. Corroborating witnesses, specific timeframe, physical effects reported.

Good on you for doing your research. Borley's accessible as a historic site but the ruins are cordoned off - you won't get close to where the house actually stood without trespassing.

I'd love to see your father's account documented more formally. The Anomalous Phenomena Research Society or even academic folklore researchers would find this valuable - not as proof of anything,...

One thing I haven't seen discussed much: lighting rigs for outdoor investigations. During winter, ambient light is basically nonexistent by 4 PM.

Been looking through the Quirk Reports archives and also pulling together anecdotal data from other paranormal communities, and I'm noticing something interesting.
The "presence" feeling is consistent across paranormal encounters. Even if this was a hallucination, the fact that both boys experienced it simultaneously suggests either a shared psychological...

I have no memory of how they appeared. No gap in consciousness like typical missing time, just the marks as 'new information' when I woke up.
I'm planning a pilgrimage to what's left of Borley Rectory in Essex sometime in January. For those who don't know, it's supposedly the most haunted house in Britain - burnt down in 1939 under...
RAF Norfolk in 1980? That's interesting because there were several incidents in that region that year that never made public record.

I know we've had a few posts about this already, but I wanted to compile the witness accounts properly since the local news completely dropped the story after one brief mention. On January 15th...

The timing thing is worth investigating though. Can someone pull together all the BBC UFO coverage from the past 5 years and map it against actual sightings?
I'm genuinely torn on this. Part of me thinks escaped exotic pets from the 1970s/80s is plausible - we know it happened in other countries.
Or - hear me out - journalists just ring up the Ministry of Defence, get a two-sentence quote, and write the article. No conspiracy needed. Just bureaucratic laziness.
Have you researched what was happening in that specific Wandsworth area in 1954? Any historical incidents, construction work, local legends?
